The Mirror are reporting that the Blues are prepared to spend upwards of £100 million to sign the star midfielder. Rumored to be heading to every major club at one point or another this summer, Paul Pogba could soon be playing his football at Stamford Bridge.
Playing for Juventus since being signed away from Manchester United in 2012, Paul Pogba has made 130 appearances over his three seasons with the Italian giants. The 22-year old is also a member of the French National Team which only adds to the levels of experience this young player already possesses.
Currently rated at a value of £60 million, it is unlikely that the Old Lady will sell her star midfielder. The club’s run to last season’s Champions League final could also play a key role in the type of offer required to pry the Frenchman away from the Italian club.
Paul Pogba will not be a newcomer to the Premier League should he sign with Chelsea FC. The 22-year old appeared in seven matches for Manchester United back in 2011 prior to his signing at Juventus.
With Chelsea FC’s weak start to the Premier League season which included a 2-2 draw at home against Swansea City and a 3-0 loss at title rival Manchester City, Blues owner Roman Abramovich has given manager Jose Mourinho permission to sign Paul Pogba.

The Russian billionaire is apparently aware of his club’s slow start and is now prepared to splash the cash. With a deal likely to come in the range of £100 million, splashing the cash may be a severe understatement for the defending Premier League champions.
However, with the Blues now trailing Manchester City and Manchester United by five points in the table, Chelsea must get their situation under control. A little over a week remaining in the transfer window will also play on the club’s ability to get a deal done.
If Paul Pogba does join Chelsea FC this summer, not only will it be the biggest move of the summer, but also the biggest move in the Premier League’s recent history. Adding his skill and vision to an already impressive squad could easily propel the Blues back to the top of the table.
Winning another Premier League title is the goal for Chelsea FC this season. However, in order to do that, the club need to find reinforcements. Who better to fill that void than arguably the world’s best young player, Paul Pogba.
