Liverpool Would Benefit From A Bargain Ezequiel Lavezzi
Ezequiel Lavezzi, the Paris St Germain forward would have been considered too valuable an asset for The Capital club to release last January, as the Argentine burst into the new year of 2014 with goals, assists and leadership as Zlatan fell to injury.
His value continued as he flew into a wild World Cup with Argentina, to the final where the team fell short, but Lavezzi still stayed an integral part of the squad.

So much so that he was chosen more relevant to be in the 23 man squad over teammate, Javier Pastore. Now times showed a player whose moments of glory are fore told and extremely average. This scale of average is one which is measured upon the idea that Paris, a club injected with heavy finance, really has no time or patience for average.
This has left Lavezzi, the often left and right flank option for Blanc, in the shadows of much better prospect Lucas Moura. Although Lavezzi works at such an extensive work rate, the results have just become not enough for the Capital. Now is a time for Liverpool to seize the opportunity at hand, especially during such a fragile time in his career.
Paris recently wrapped up a small Winter Tour where the Argentine and Edinson Cavani were absent for reasons which are still unknown. Because of that, their services have been exiled until further notice by Laurent Blanc in effort to demand discipline from the two South Americans.
Seeing as how Lavezzi has not only lost his starting position behind the much younger and fast growing Brazilian, Lucas, the 29 year old is also growing less reliable for result, regardless of his unmatched work rate. As reported by Goal.com, the Paris winger could be avaliable for a cut price fee of only £8 million.

So how can a move to Merseyside effect the Argentine positively?
First off, the clear fact is guaranteed playing time. Although Lavezzi’s preffered position is one which he used to defend and attack is to play full flank on the right or left, a partnership with Daniel Sturridge, could see Lavezzi allow Daniel to move freely in the centre, similar to his partnership with Luis Suarez.
Mainly because of his ability to be selfless in front of goal. Yet this is where their partnership would not emulate the chemistry of the old ‘SAS’, in that Lavezzi’s lack of responsibility to net goals for himself is what has either seen him choke in the French league, waste an opportunity for his central partners in Zlatan and Cavani or simply create a faulty chance.
Of course all players are not perfect, and the twos relationship in front of goal would take ample time to even reach a sparkle of what Sturridge and Suarez had, but his need to create and be apart of success is what would be a much better offering for Brendan Rodgers over Mario Balotelli.
Also, because of his constant work upon the flanks for Paris, Lavezzi would be a solid option on either wing, were a player such as Raheem Sterling need replacement. His creativity is not as illuminate as the Brit, but he would keep pace and assistance as needed.
Finally, Lavezzi is tenacious and extremely physical on the wing — these traits are essential in the Premier League. His athletic abilities and defensive duties which have driven him into such a fantastic Italian campaign in Naples before Paris, is what will drive the team to greater heights in the perfect setting.
Thus if an £8 million price tag is available, Liverpool shouldn’t even flinch on this bargain.
