Tottenham started the season with an unlikely 1-0 win against champions, Manchester City. A pair of 1-0 victories followed against Wolves and Watford.

Three victories is not a bad way for Nuno Espirito Santo to introduce himself to his new club, being at the top of the table is even sweeter for Spurs fans because Arsenal are rock bottom, having lost three games without scoring a goal.

Son is a doubt for Saturday’s clash, after picking up an injury in South Korea’s  0-0 draw with Iraq. Son has been an instrumental player this season, the Tottenham forward scored the winning goal in two of their opening three fixtures.

The international break has not been kind to Tottenham though; Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Romero are in COVID quarantine after reporting for duty with Colombia and Argentina, while Oliver Skipp picked up a knock playing for England U-21s. It’s a blow for Skipp, a young player who has played in Spurs’ first three league games of the season.

However, giving them hope, Harry Kane scored three goals in three games for England. The England skipper seems to have found his stride heading into this week 4 fixture.

Tottenham players in contention for their Premier League debut

Could Dilan Markanday feature on the bench for the trip to South London? Markanday is in contention for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award. Football London’s Emma de Duve waxed lyrical about Tottenham’s hot prospect.

"The 20-year-old has had a flying start to the season, which saw him feature on the bench in Tottenham’s second leg of the Europa Conference League qualifying round. The winger has already scored four goals in just three games, for the Spurs U23s, which included a first-half hat-trick in their away game against Leeds United U23s. Emerson Royal is pushing for his first start in the Tottenham shirt. The former Barcelona right-back is available to play after making his move before the transfer deadline.
