Chelsea reportedly planning to extend midfielder’s contract
Chelsea have had a season full of highs and lows. But, ever since Thomas Tuchel has taken over, there have been far more highs than lows for the team.
He’s taken them back into the top four spots and now has a chance to take them to number three with a win against Manchester City, after Leicester’s loss to Newcastle. He has also guided them to the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League.
There have been a few players this season that were (or supposed to be) on the verge of leaving the club. Players like Antonio Rudiger, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso, all were rumored to leave the club at some point due to competition in those positions within the team.
But a couple of them have turned it around. In fact, one of them has made it a lot better for himself.
Chelsea may offer Jorginho a contract extension, according to reports
Jorginho is reportedly going to be offered a contract extension in the coming weeks, as per renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano. His current contract runs till 2023. Jorginho wants to extend his contract at Chelsea as well.

Chelsra are also preparing a new contract bid for the young striker Armando Broja, chased by European clubs after his amazing season at Vitesse.

Romano also mentions Chelsea’s plan to offer Armando Broja a new contract, after the youngster’s great season on loan at Vitesse.
Under Tuchel, Jorginho has been great for Chelsea. He has had a huge turnaround from before when he was struggling for regular starts under Lampard. Whenever he did get those starts, he wasn’t doing a lot to contribute to the team.
Now, he’s one of the first names on the team sheet. He has been heavily involved and has had a great few months for Chelsea.
If you want to know about just one game where he was absolutely great, you don’t have to look for long.
His game against Real Madrid earlier this week was near-perfect and he had a big part in ensuring that Chelsea advance to the Champions League final.
They have now set up a tasty-looking final with Manchester City — the same team they face on Sunday.
