After its resurgence in the Premier League, Everton is slowly growing in stature under Carlo Ancelotti.
The club was under a serious threat of getting relegated, until a certain Italian manager was appointed in December 2019. Since then, there has been no looking back.
The team finished in the 12th position last season and currently find themselves in a position to finish in the top half of the Premier League table. Everton has already started to plan for the summer and are out in search of a new center-half for the side.
Everton is reportedly interested in Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo
According to recent news, The club is interested in signing Barcelona center-back Ronald Araujo in the summer. However, the Catalans are reluctant to sell him as the club values the defender very highly.
Though there were rumours about Merih Demiral, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that he is not even Ancelotti’s target. The tweet read:
"Everton are planning to sign a centre-back in the summer. Araujo is highly appreciated but Barcelona will *not* sell him. No talks for Demiral, he’s not even a target. #EFC Max Aarons update: new clubs are joining the race. Everton are now looking for other players. (Via: Fabrizio Romano)"
Ronald Araujo is having a great season at Camp Nou despite having a not-so-good start at Camp Nou.
