FPL Captain Pick #1 Harry Kane vs Everton(A), Southampton (H)

A player top of the Golden Boot and Top Assister charts playing against two obliging defences? Yeah, there’s no need to overthink it.

If you still have your Triple Captain (TC) chip left I highly doubt there is going to be a better time to use it. I also think this set of fixtures with this player in the form of his life is better than all of the popular TC opportunities that have come up to us so far this season, making it the easiest captaincy decision of the season for me.

More from Fantasy Premier League

Continuing on from the talk about reverse fixtures earlier, yes, Son might have grabbed 4 goals but it was Harry Kane who had a goal and 4 assists to his name and was the creator-in-chief part of the annihilation, which just showed how complete a player has become.

I have almost always been in the ‘It is never worth captaining Son if you also own Kane’

Can Son outscore Kane? Yes.

No one is denying that as a possibility, it has happened quite a few times in the past as we saw earlier and can definitely happen this GW.

When Son does outscore Kane most often it is just by a small amount because of Kane’s high goal involvement but it is much more plausible for Kane to heavily outscore Son in my opinion – even more so based on what we have seen in the last few weeks.

Must Read. Jesse Lingard has the power in his United transfer situation. light

Betting against Kane carries a possible small gain that comes with a possibility of a huge loss which makes the risk just not worth it for me.

The stats in the graphic below clearly point in Kane’s favour as well.
