#3 Diogo Jota Liverpool vs Aston Villa

Jota has been a real livewire ever since his return from injury and has been racking up goals and assists for both club and country.

The Portuguese can’t do any wrong at the moment and arguably the only thing teammate Mo Salah has over him FPL-wise is penalties.

Trent Alexander-Arnold looks like he is back to his best (offensively at least). Trent could have had a lot more assists in recent weeks if Liverpool’s attackers were putting their chances away.

With Jota back in the lineup, he could really thrive on that service and get the Reds’ campaign back on track. Jota is not a certain starter and might be rotating with Firmino depending on the formation.

However, his performances in recent weeks, especially the brace against Arsenal last weekend should mean he has done enough to win a place in the starting XI.

If anything Sadio Mané has been a bit disappointing this season and especially in the last few games.

Mané seems to be missing the explosiveness and sharpness that his game possesses so rest for him would not be the worst idea.

Jota is a bit of a high-risk punt with equally high upside after seeing what he did vs Arsenal.
