#2 Mohamed Salah vs Aston Villa (H):

After being one of the most explosive and popular assets in the game in the first half of the season, Salah (much like Liverpool) has been a nightmare to own in the second half, blanking too many times and failing to justify his high price tag.

However, the return of Diogo Jota has sparked life back into the Liverpool attack and that combined with their incredible fixture run to end the season, starting this week could help them in their push towards a top-4 spot.

Despite Salah’s lack of returns in recent weeks, his underlying stats have been really good and he seems to be showing signs of picking up form.

The reverse fixture was a night to forget for Liverpool as they succumbed to a 7-2 defeat at Villa Park. However, Salah was on the scoresheet twice that day and did not let down the FPL managers who owned him.

Aston Villa has been good defensively this season, especially with Emi Martinez having an excellent season for The Villans, however, their defensive stats have fallen off in recent weeks.

The injury to Jack Grealish has not only impacted their attack badly, but it has also had a spillover effect on their defence and made it a lot more vulnerable.

They clearly miss their talismanic captain and are a completely different outfit without him, there are still question marks about Grealish’s return from injury and it is becoming hard to believe what Dean Smith says.

If Villa are without Grealish once again, you would expect Liverpool to dominate this contest and put a few past Villa.
