The need to sort out the situation of unsettled squad figures

Considering a smooth transition, Mikel Arteta would have to make a few bold decisions to sort his midfield out. There are few cases which must be looked at by the club insiders once their FA Cup assignment is completed.

More from Arsenal

On an upscale contract till 2022, Arsenal has to make a decision on the player if he is not in the head coach’s plan for the future.

Mateo Guendouzi, who has earned the spotlight for disciplinary flaws, is another player who is highly likely to be shown the door after losing the faith of club members. The player has been offered to various teams across Europe, with an exit being an impending event for the French prodigy.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, one of the academy prospects, reportedly, is monitoring his career options as he seeks regular game time. Though, Arteta considers the player as an important part of his plans.
