Bruno Fernandes (MID, 9.0m, West Ham at home)

If you haven’t got Man United’s Portuguese midfield maestro yet then you’re doing this whole thing wrong. He has been the lynchpin for Man United’s success, the key to unlocking their attacking potential, and an FPL gold mine all at once.

In his entire time at Man United (admittedly only 11 games so far) he has blanked twice and had 5 double-digit hauls. He also has the added bonus of being on penalties! Enjoy him being 9.0m now because I guarantee his price will be closer to Salah’s next season because if you extrapolate out he would have scored over 300 points this year.

This week they take on West Ham, who are having a renaissance of all sorts, but also are incredibly vulnerable at the back. I wouldn’t be surprised if another double-digit haul is on the horizon.

Gabriel Jesus (FWD, 9.8m, Watford away)

More from Fantasy Premier League

There aren’t many hard and fast rules in FPL. Always buy someone playing further ahead than their designated position (more on that in a minute) and if one Man City striker is out, then buy the other one.

Aguero is injured for the rest of the season and therefore Jesus is the man for the moment. He can be infuriating and is not anywhere near Aguero, but he’s still the head of City’s attack and he has 3 goals and 2 assists in the last 3 games.

Anthony Martial (MID, 8.4m, West Ham at home)

Fernandes may be a gold mine, but Martial is a designated midfielder playing up front for one of the most potent attacking forces in the league. Since the restart, he has scored a hattrick, 2 more goals and got 4 assists! For just 8.4m you can’t ask for much more really.
