Chelsea: No space for Pedro under Lampard as he plans a summer exit
No more space at Chelsea for the passenger Pedro. His trip ends at Stamford Bridge in the summer, as Frank Lampard seeks a more youthful side.
Chelsea’s out-of-favour winger Pedro is set to leave the club after he terminates his contract in the summer with the club as per reports. Where he will end up has not been discussed or decided, as the player feels it’s not as important with COVID-19 issues taking priority.
"I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it.The most important thing is for everyone to show solidarity. Whatever happens regarding my future will happen but right now is not important as we don’t even know when we will return to training. We have been in quarantine because one of our players [Callum Hudson-Odoi] tested positive for coronavirus, he is now well and we are happy for him. A five-year spell for Pedro comes to an end
Pedro’s late switch to Stamford Bridge looks set to come to an end and no one can blame him after falling way, way down the pecking order for the manager, Frank Lampard. A 32-year-old has no place under the Englishman’s watch, leaving all the old men no choice but to leave.

Players like the Spaniard, Willian, and Olivier Giroud have endured the less favourable side of Lampard, and are on the way out of the club, indefinitely. The latter tried to make a move during the January transfer window, however, due to the injury crisis faced at the Bridge, it was never going to happen.
The Spaniard’s time at Chelsea
- Games Played – 201 Games
- Goals Scored – 43 Goals
- Assists – 28 Assists
- 1x Premier League title
- 1x FA Cup
- 1x Europa League
All aforementioned have enjoyed some time on the pitch of late after being reintroduced back into the starting 11. Though they know once the summer hits, new faces will be heading to London and their chances will actually disappear.
Christian Pulisic, who has been missing for large parts of the season will be fresh for next season and will be a starter alongside Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham. Mason Mount including newcomers, there’s no chance Pedro and the elderly scrolls will be involved next season.
Predicting an Inter Milan move.
