Only seven matches to be played on the Saturday of Matchday 10 with all the matches spread out over the weekend, with an extra special treat coming in Monday Night Football.

No exciting top-six treats this Saturday for us this time. No, unfortunately we have to wait till the weekend concludes for us to get a brawl of the heavyweights. Today’s filled with many mid-table clashes and opportunities for some of those bottom-table dwellers to add some points on the board.

Cardiff off the mark and in search of a second win in as many. Laughably, that will not happen today by Neil Warnock’s understanding. The manager showed no confidence in his team in his pre-match press conference.

Talking things Anfield, Klopp’s Liverpool team is the only team playing of the top three today. They can add the necessary pressures to the other two who play in the days to come. They take on a Cardiff side who will inevitably drop down after this weekend’s results.

Score predictions for the day

Brighton 1-1 Wolves
Southampton 2-1 Newcastle
Liverpool 4-0 Cardiff City
Fulham 2-4 Bournemouth
Watford 3-0 Huddersfield
Leicester City 3-2 Wet Ham

More from Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton and Wolves should attract the most attention. A match between two teams doing the business on the pitch, better than projected is always promises to be drama-filled. It will be a good match to watch and see if Brighton can close the gap to one point between them. If not and Wolves take all the points, they could possibly reach sixth place, if all goes according to plan in other fixtures.

Southampton has a must win fixture against Newcastle, or their bad form could hand Rafa and his men their first for the season. It could also spell doom for the Saints, as it could aid in them dropping into the bottom three.

Joining Newcastle in trying to play themselves out of the bottom pit are, Huddersfield and Fulham. The latter takes on a side showing no signs of failing at beating them at Craven Cottage today. Bournemouth sit in a surprising sixth place, but cannot drop points, or else they will drop spots in the Premier League table.

The former of the two Huddersfield, has as tough of an ask as the aforementioned, Newcastle. Yet to win a game, gives them all the ambition in the world, hope they going to use it effectively. Watford have a shot at taking easy points. Scoring hasn’t really been a problem for the Hornets, especially at home.

The last game of the day comes at us during the evening. The first of what could be an easy run of fixtures for the Foxes. They play a stop and start West Ham United. Stopping more than really starting. There is no denying that if West Ham show up, Leicester has a busy afternoon inside King Power stadium.
