Manchester United are looking to sign Brighton striker Evan Ferguson in the summer of 2024. However, signing him will not be easy for the Red Devils.

When it comes to the number 9 position at Manchester United, it is a graveyard shift as United doesn’t create a lot of chances for their forward man. That is why Anthony Martial has failed miserably as a no.9 for Man Utd. It would be interesting to see how Rasmus Hojlund fares at this position.

But, United are looking forward to strengthening their forward line even further next summer and the one player that will be heavily linked to Manchester United next summer will be Evan Ferguson of Brighton. According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Ferguson.

The number 9 of Brighton is having a sensation run of form in the Premier League scoring 4 goals so far in as many matches. Thus, he has caught the eyes of the ‘big clubs’ in the world’s toughest league.

Martial out and Evan Ferguson in at Manchester United

After a promising start to his Manchester United career, Anthony Martial is all but done at the club. He is in the last year of his contract and it is reported that his contract may not be extended by the club. Therefore, United will need another striker because if Hojlund gets injured, they will have no one up top.

That is why Erik ten Hag and Man Utd are looking to plot a move for the Brighton striker as he is highly regarded at the club. Manchester United were also linked to him this summer as he was on the list of potential striker options for Erik ten Hag.

Thus, in the summer transfer window of 2024, Evan Ferguson might be the top target for Manchester United. However, it is expected that Brighton will ask for a large transfer fee as Ferguson signed a deal with Brighton that will keep him at the club till 2028. So, do you think Man Utd can sign Evan Ferguson from Brighton? Let us know in the comments!
