FA Cup: Saturday roundup of Fifth Round
By Orri Benatar
The last FA Cup match of the day belonged to Romelu Lukaku and controversy. The Belgian striker started strong with a quick goal inside three minutes.
Juan Mata gave Lukaku a pinpoint pass for United’s first goal of the day. Before halftime, Mata thought he had scored a second for Mourinho but it was called back for offside by V.A.R. The Fox Soccer crew discussed the decision and the effect V.A.R. can have.
The disallowed goal didn’t stop the Red Devils. A Huddersfield corner turned into Lukaku’s brace in a matter of seconds as he received an exquisite pass from Alexis Sanchez.
