Just when you thought this transfer saga was nearing the end and Man City were almost an Alexis Sanchez heavy, Man United step in and rock the boat.

Wide spread news across social media is the talk of Arsenal’s want away player, Alexis Sanchez is now wanted by Man City rivals, Man United. This January transfer window has brought us many surprises, and this is stacked up there with the big bangs of this winter window.

It was almost certain Man City would get the Pep and Sanchez reunion going. However, Sanchez waiting game has seized to exist, making his feelings of wanting to leave, widely known for consecutive seasons. There’s so many factors influencing this transfer its hard to call off the bat.

Two clubs who battled at the summit of the table for a large part of the campaign – narrow down their fight and fight for a single player this time. Knowing the attacker’s grown tired of the Emirates, makes him one sexy catch for the two Manchester powerhouses.

Man City deal on the table:

Manchester City do not want to budge on their £20 million offer – that along with the certainty of the player giving his word to Pep, Man City is where his heart lies.

City have two choices in this matter;

  1. They wait until the season ends and take him on a free, giving him the freedom of making a clear choice when there’s no pressures of being cup-tied and so on.
  2. Up their offer and take the player now – covering up for missing players, key to Man City’s silverware and league aspirations this term.

With option one, Man City could risk the chance of Jose coming in and making undeniable offer to the Chilean. Something Jose’s extremely good at doing, stealing another team’s target.

Option two sees them lose out on quite a load of money – millions to be exact. It’s the safest option, but at the same time – the most expensive option for the Citizens.

I’d say … The time is now for Man City to make the move, wait too long and Man United will have their man.

Man United’s part in this transfer comes in late but is a normal act:

Man United want to offer about £5 million more and take the offer of Man City to £25 million. Undoubtedly, this will make Arsenal turn in the other direction and listen to the Red Devils.

The Gunners are already going against their word by selling to a rival club. It’s no longer an option to go out and apply his footballing abilities in another league, but this one.

A major boost for United in their pursuit for the world-class winger. The fact Man City has played some hardball, thinking they were the only team in the running for the player, blew up in their face.

The biggest attribute for Man United – Jose is the master of hijackers and should be named the outlaw for being able to steal transfers from other teams. Prime example of this – Man United big transfer of Lukaku to Manchester, after snubbing their old club, Chelsea.

Jose’s footballing style plus his gameplan, does not suit the winger, but the two will have an easy time talking defensive work by a forward player. Sanchez is a hard-working footballer, who enjoys getting back and running the entire field for 90 minutes flat.

Buckle up and enjoy this ride. A roller coaster, doesn’t even begin to describe this long and annoying transfer saga.
