Spending the last four season’s with Crystal Palace after joining the Eagles from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2011, Glenn Murray became a fan favorite at Selhurst Park. His best years with the club came while Palace still played in the English Championship division.

His debut season saw the Englishman play in 43 of the club’s matches, netting seven goals. His second season with the club was truly his one-hit wonder when he not only appeared in 45 matches for the Eagles but also scored 31 goals on the way to helping Crystal Palace achieve promotion to the Premier League.

From there however, things have steadily gone downhill for the aging striker. The club’s first two season’s in the Premier League saw Murray make a combined 34 appearances for the Eagles. The drop in first team minutes resulted in his loaning to Reading last season after only two matches.

Now a member of Premier League new-boys AFC Bournemouth, Glen Murray has the opportunity to once again become an intricate part of a top tier club. Unveiled by the Cherries this morning, Glenn Murray showed his excitement in his first interview with the club.

"“It feels great to finally be here. I’ve come across the club a lot in my career and it’s been great to see it progress. The way the boys play football is very exciting. It’s front-footed and it will be nice to try and get some goals from it.”"

First making his football league debut 2005, Glenn Murray spent the early part of his career as a journeyman. Carlisle United, Wilmington Hammerheads, Barrow, Stockport County and Rochdale were all stops along the way for the Englishman.

Finally, in 2007, Glenn Murray signed for League One side Brighton & Hove Albion. Murray would go onto play for the club for the next four years, eventually leading the club to a League One title in his final season with the club.

If Glenn Murray can find the form of his early career with both Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth could have a striker to be reckoned with on their team. Scoring goals and leading the club is what the striker does best.

Pulling off that magic again could help decide whether AFC Bournemouth can make their inaugural stay in the Premier League longer than a single season.
