For the final day of games in the October international break, plenty of Premier League players were in action. Let’s take a look at how things went.

Premier League international watch: Tuesday round up

In Asian World Cup qualifying, Karou Mitoma started for Japan, as their 100% record came to an end with a 1-1 draw at home to Australia. Daichi Kamada was a second half sub. Cameron Burgess started for the visitors, and scored an own goal.

In Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, Mario Lemina started for and captained Gabon as they recorded a 2-0 win away to Lesotho.

Hamad Junior Traore was a second half for sub for the Ivory Coast in their shock 1-0 defeat away to Sierra Leone, as the AFCON winners lost to a team that did not qualify for the tournament altogether.

Yves Bissouma captained Mali in their 0-0 draw away to Guinea-Bissau, where a win would have seen them qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. Beto played the 90 minutes for Guinea-Bissau.

Pape Matar Sarr, Idrissa Gueye, and Nicolas Jackson all started for Senegal away to Malawi, as a last gasp goal secured their qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations. Iliman Ndiaye and Ismaila Sarr came off the bench.

Into Europe – Jan Bednarek, Jakub Kiwior, and Jakub Moder started for Poland in their 3-3 draw with Croatia in the nations league. Josko Gvardiol started for Croatia.

In the same group, Andy Robertson and Ryan Christie started for Scotland in their 0-0 draw at home to Portugal. Ruben Dias, Bruno Fernandes, and Diogo Jota started for the visitors, whilst Nelson Semedo and Joao Felix came off the bench.

Elsewhere in the nations league, David Raya, Pedro Porro, Marc Cucurella, and Mikel Merino all started for Spain, in a very London themed side, in their 3-0 win at home to Serbia. Nikola Milenkovic and Kosta Nedeljkovic started for the visitors.

In the same group, Manuel Akanji started for Switzerland in their 2-2 at home to Denmark. Jannik Bestergaard, Christian Eriksen, and Rasmus Hojlund started for the visitors. Eriksen provided a goal and an assist.

Meanwhile, Arijanet Muric kept a clean sheet for Kosovo in their 3-0 win over Cyrpus.

Finally, after his first international goal at the weekend, Radu Dragusin started for Romania away to Lithuania in their 2-1 win away to Lithuania in the same group.
