Premier League international watch: Saturday round up

Saturday marked day three of games in the October international break. Let’s see how all the Premier League players in action got on.

Premier League international watch

In the nations league, Josko Gvardiol started for Croatia in their 2-1 win over Scotland. Andy Robertson, meanwhile, captained Scotland.

Elsewhere in the same group, Jan Bednarek was in the starting XI for Poland in their nations league game at home to Portugal. Diogo Dalot, Ruben Dias, Renato Viega, Bernardo Silva, Pedro Neto and Bruno Fernandes started for the visitors. Silva would give Portugal the lead after 26 minutes, having been set up by Fernandes.

Jakub Kiwior was introduced at half time for the hosts, and Jakub Moder after 66 minutes, whilst Diogo Jota came on after 63 minutes for Portugal. Nelson Semedo was a late sub for the visitors, with the aforementioned Bednarek scoring an own goal shortly after to secure all three points.

Meanwhile, Nikola Milenkovic and Kosta Nedeljkovic started for Serbia in their nations league clash at home to Switzerland. Manuel Akanji started for the visitors. It would be a clean sheet for Milenkovic and Nedeljkovic in a 2-0 win for the hosts.

In the same group, David Raya and Pedro Porro started for Spain in their game at home to Denmark. Jannik Vestegaard and Christian Eriksen started for the Danes. Mikel Merino was introduced after 62 minutes for Spain. Rasmus Hojlund came on after 78 minutes for the visitors, though Spain scored just a minute later, and would see it out to win 1-0

Down in league C of the nations league, Radu Dragusin started for Romania in their trip to Cyprus. The defender scored his first goal for his country after 36 minutes, giving them a healthy 3-0 lead that they would see out.

Elsewhere in the same tier, Conor Bradley captained Northern Ireland at just 21-years old in their trip to Belarus, playing the 90 minutes in their 0-0 draw.
