As The Top Flight has covered, Manchester United is dealing with multiple situations with different players. One that has been the most public is Jadon Sancho’s situation with Erik ten Hag. In a now-deleted social media post, Jadon Sancho disregarded Erik ten Hag’s comment that the winger was dropped from the matchday squad due to his effort in training. He also called himself a scapegoat at the club and said that his expulsion from the squad is another reason he won’t get into.

The situation between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United has yet to be resolved despite talks between the two this week. Sancho has now been dropped completely from the first team, and he trains on his own until he completes a disciplinary program. While it is unclear what exactly might’ve caused this decision, The Athletic is revealing what has happened. Dan Sheldon and Carl Anka are reporting that Jadon Sancho has refused to apologize for his social media statement to Erik ten Hag and has subsequently been expelled from the club.

The Athletic further elaborated that Sancho’s timeline from the squad is not set, and he will not be available for match selection until the two parties are able to find a solution to the problem.

Jadon Sancho has not lived up to his price tag of £73m, recording just 18 goal contributions in 82 appearances for Manchester United. The English international was linked to Saudi Arabia as their window is still open, but that option is now completely off the table. A January move could certainly be on the table if things do not take a turn for the better.

As The Top Flight covered, it looked as though free agent Anwar El Ghazi could be a Sancho stop-gap for the time being but that now looks to be out the window.
