2. Joao Cancelo (Manchester City)

Sticking with Premier League signings, it really wouldn’t surprise me if the Gunners were to pursue another signing from Manchester City in Joao Cancelo.

No matter what happens, Cancelo is bound to be a big talking point for the upcoming summer transfer window. Widely recognised as one of the best full-backs in the world, he doesn’t fit in at either Manchester City or the club where he’s currently loaned, Bayern Munich.

It was reported by The Top Flight yesterday that Arsenal were one of the clubs liked with Joao Cancelo, although they’ll face competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid. When you consider the possibility of a sale of Kieran Tierney, Arteta should be keen to apply this squad upgrade.

Not only would Arsenal be directly upgrading their squad, they’d be downgrading City’s squad. Although Pep isn’t a fan of Cancelo, nobody can deny he’s one of the best full-backs in the league, who can play on either flank or even through the middle. He provides a lot in the final third too, as he boasts an impressive goal/assist return for a defender, hence his previously large FPL ownership.
