5.) Manchester United – Noise Cancelling headphones / New Ownership

I can’t quite make up my mind on this one. Noise-canceling headphones would be great for those Noisy Neighbors across town because with Pep Guardiola signing an extension, they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The 6-3 goal-fest just a few months ago suggests exactly that. With Ronaldo now in the rearview for Manchester United, they need to move on and focus on life with Ten Hag and work towards improving in the Premier League.

New ownership is something the fans have called upon for ages it seems. The Glazers have put Manchester United up for sale recently and being a club of this size, the purchase of them might take a while. This would be the gift that keeps on giving. Take your pick, we can’t all get what we want for Christmas.

6.) Liverpool – New Midfielder(s)

Yes, there was once a day when a duo of Jordan Henderson and James Milner might have worked in the Premier League, but those days are long gone, to say the least. It’s become like watching a terrible sequel, something that Liverpool needs to correct. Henderson still has his moments, and they both still possess quality, but father time is slowly catching up to the Liverpool midfield. Even Thiago Alcantara, a guaranteed starter when fit, is not getting any younger at 31 years old. Let’s just not mention Naby Këita…

It’s no secret, Fabhino aside, Liverpool could use a refreshment in that department. They have made their intentions known, attempting to grab the hottest midfielder on the market, but that will be no easy feat, being that Real Madrid and Manchester City are also rumored to be in for the Borussia Dortmund man. They will then look towards Enzo Fernandez, the Argentine midfielder who just won Young Player of the Tournament. Fernandez will not come cheap either, especially after the World Cup he just had.

Whether or not they muster up some serious cash in January or over the following summer window will tell you where they reside and where their true intentions lie.
