According to recent reports from ESPN, Bayern Munich are interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s star and have told him to hold off on signing a new contract with the North London club.
The German giants are interested in England and Tottenham Hotspur’s star Harry Kane and are ready to make a move for him.
According to the Report From ESPN on Bayern’s Interest in the Tottenham Star Striker;
"Bayern Munich are set to renew their interest in Harry Kane in 2023, report’s Bild’s Christian Falk, after failing to secure a move during the summer transfer window.via ESPN.in"
While Bayern Munich have a lot of firepower in their squad, they don’t have an outright striker in their ranks.
Currently, Sadio Mane files the striker position for the German Champions, but there are two problems with that. Firstly, Sadio Mane’s primary position is the left wing, which is the position he occupied when he played in the Premier League. Secondly, he is not a poacher like Lewandowski was, and Bayern needs a poacher like him to match their style of play.
This is where Harry Kane comes in. The 29-year-old’s deal expires in 2024 and he fits the requirements of this team perfectly. At 29, he is at the prime of his career and has already established himself in a more physical league with a relatively weaker Tottenham squad.
Will Kane Leave Tottenham Willingly?
He is used to the pressure and the limelight and could be the perfect fit for Bayern. However, will Harry Kane willingly leave Spurs now that they are actual contenders for the Premier League and other major competitions under Antonio Conte?
Not only have they signed players like Bissouma, Lenglet, Richarlison and Djed Spence, but they are actually putting in good performances in the Premier League. They are currently third in the league, having not lost a single game this run and are just one point behind league leaders Arsenal.
But again, we have seen Harry Kane desperate for a move out of Tottenham. He was desperate for a move to Manchester City and threw a tantrum by not showing up to training when the move was not financed.
Would a move to Bayern be a good transfer for Harry Kane? At 29, he is not likely to get more interest from bigger clubs and his stock will only go down from here. Is it high time we see the Kane-Son link-up breakup in this Tottenham squad?
Only time will tell.
