I did not expect that a player that didn’t even start for his team would make the top 5 of Fantasy Premier League Power Rankings after GW1 but here we are.

After a stellar display off the bench in the Community Shield against Manchester City, Nunez repeated the act by coming off the bench in the second half against Fulham this week.

He just seems elite at getting himself into positions for “big chances” and he showed that again with an absolutely mammoth xG of 1.67 and xA of 0.49, all from open play as a substitute. He scored a goal, and grabbed an assist while still missing 2 “big chances”.

If Nunez can replicate this sort of impact from the start of games, he’d become borderline essential in FPL from this Liverpool team. Watch this space.
