Norwich City – 20th Place

As I said in my last piece, Norwich have been nothing short of disappointing so far. Their last Premier League outing at Turf Moor was the only time the Canaries have avoided defeat.

Only 2 goals scored in 7 games is far from desirable. Also being held scoreless in each of their 4 away matches, it is hard to find any positives for Danny Farke’s side.

Verdict:

With Brighton (H), Chelsea (A), Leeds (H), and Brentford (A) coming up, the opportunity presents itself for a positive result for Norwich. That being said, they will need to improve considerably if they want to get off the foot of the table and stand any chance at survival.

With their league-worst –14 GD and serious lack of goals, it’s hard to see a big improvement right away despite the relatively light fixture list ahead.

In ordering the teams from most likely to least likely to get a win the soonest, I will go with Southampton, Newcastle, Burnley and then Norwich.

It would not surprise me to see Burnley and Norwich go down at the end of the season as well, but only time will tell to see who will turn their season around the soonest.
