As October’s international break takes center stage, this is a great opportunity to provide some thoughts on the first 7 league games for each Premier League club; although 70 matches do not feel like a whole lot, it certainly is enough to provide some info on each team. With that said, here is a thought (or two) on each side 7 games in.

Premier League clubs 1-4
Chelsea

League leaders after 7 matches: Thomas Tuchel’s side shows just how difficult it is to break them down, conceding just thrice in 630 minutes of football. Add that to the 11 different players to find the net so far and the return of their superstar, the Blues have a way of sharing the goals.

Liverpool

The only unbeaten side left at this point of the season, the Reds do not have any problems scoring goals. Joint leading scorer Mohammed Salah is having a ball of a season to date, and if he can keep fit, Liverpool will be hard to stop for the rest of the campaign.

Manchester City

The defending Premier League champions find themselves third in the standings after 7 played, with Pep Guardiola deciding to continue deploying a false 9 system. Very solid defensively, but how long will the lack of an out-and-out striker continue to work for?

Manchester United

With another big-name returnee to the Prem in Cristiano Ronaldo, the Red Devils average exactly two goals and two points per game. Will Ole Gunner Solksjaer be able to keep all of his superstars happy and play up to their capability?
