#2 Raul Jimenez v Newcastle (H)

Much like Norwich, Newcastle is one of the best fixtures to target in FPL. The Magpies rank bottom in the league for expected goals conceded this season, which is even worse than Norwich. This presents a massive opportunity for Wolves, who happen to rank equal 4th best in the league for expected goals – despite only managing to find the back of the net 3 times this season.

As Wolves get accustomed to the style of their new manager Bruno Lage, Newcastle is an optimal fixture for them to get clicking. Wolves have lacked some chemistry at the beginning of this season – but week by week they continue to improve.

Newcastle are a very vulnerable team defensively, and Wolves are definitely capable of scoring many goals against them – assuming they have their shooting boots on.

Jimenez has had a confidence increase by netting his first goal of the season last weekend against Southampton. He is the main orchestrator in the Wolves attack and as a talisman, we can expect him to be involved in the goals in GW7.

Jimenez’s stats have also been very impressive this season, with 15 shots in the box and 4 big chances. Therefore, it is quite surprising that he has only scored 1 goal this season. Jimenez will be hungry for more this week.
