#1 Romelu Lukaku v Southampton (H)

It should be no surprise that Lukaku takes the number 1 captaincy spot this week. Coming off 2 big back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Juventus, the Blues will be hungry to bounce back against the Saints.

Tuchel should field his strongest team in this encounter and will be looking to send a message that Chelsea are still title contenders with a big win.

Lukaku had 4 shots in the box against Juventus midweek in the UCL, whilst also missing a big chance in the game.

He is clearly getting chances, despite Chelsea failing to score in their last 2 games. It is also worth noting that Southampton are no Manchester City or Juventus – so Chelsea should be winning comfortably here.

The odds are also in Lukaku’s favour this week, with the Belgian being the favourite of all players to score in GW7.

Even though the Saints have only conceded 7 goals this season, they appeared very sloppy against Wolves and were giving the ball away at almost every opportunity. If they do the same this week against a top-four side – they will be punished greatly – and we can expect Lukaku to be on the scoresheet.
