#3 Cristiano Ronaldo v Everton (H)

Another home game for Manchester United is always a positive sign to captain Ronaldo. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job being somewhat on the line this week, United will be looking for a big win against the Toffees.

It is no secret that United have struggled this season – despite signing 3 big players in Ronaldo, Sancho and Varane. Ole, the players, and the staff know what is at stake this week – a result isn’t only needed, but so is a promising performance.

Despite having only played 3 games this season, Ronaldo ranks 4th best in the league for expected goals. However, this should be no surprise – given the elite class of CR7.

The Everton defence has been quite solid under Benitez, so this is why Ronaldo is only ranked at the number 3 spot for captaincy picks. Nonetheless, we all know that Ronaldo’s poaching skills can allow him to score against just about anyone.

The Portuguese international’s late winner against Villarreal in the Champions League midweek would also be a massive confidence booster for him and United going into GW7.
