Manchester United have arrived at a decision regarding the future of Diogo Dalot; the club has decided to keep him for the 2021/22 season.

According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the club’s management are happy with the Portuguese fullback’s development over the last season. They trust the player for the present and future and want him to further his development at Aon Training Complex.

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, updated fans regarding Dalot’s potential departure for Germany. Many linked him with a move to Borussia Dortmund, with the German club said to be the only club asking for his services.

"Manchester United have made a final decision: Diogo Dalot will stay. He’s non-transferrable. Club and Solskjaer are very happy with Dalot, they trust him for present and future so he’s NOT leaving. #MUFC Borussia Dortmund approached Man Utd as many other clubs but no way. …and it means that unless there are unexpected proposals or moves, Kieran Trippier will not join Manchester United this summer. United sent Dalot on loan last season to Italian outfit AC Milan to get needed game time, as the manager found it difficult to offer the same number of minutes for him at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese international had a goal and assist to his name for the Rossoneri in the Serie A. Also, he collected a goal and two assists in the Europa League in the same campaign.

Manchester United were in Kieran Trippier discussions with Atletico

Manchester United were in talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Kieran Trippier after he had a great Euro 2020 with England.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player not only offered the defensive solidity United are in need of but also threatened the opposition with his attacking inputs. He had an assist to his name from three starts in the European Championship and had six assists in La Liga as well, proving his quality and presence in attack.

Only a few days are remaining in the ongoing summer window. Manchester United have a large Premier League squad and will look to balance the books by offloading or sending some players on loan.

Jesse Lingard and Amad Diallo are the hottest prospects to move away from the club, at least temporarily – especially with the return of Christiano Ronaldo.
