The other European Places

5. Arsenal

Arsenal improves after a year out of Europe, with Mikel Arteta finally getting something from his players. Arsenal will be led by youth in 2021/22 with the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Bukayo Saka and new signing Ben White, being imperative to them throughout the campaign.

There will no doubt be a fair few Arsenal-like mistakes during the season, but the young core will have a rather carefree year and take the Gunners back into Europe.

The North-London side bag fifth with a year out of Europe, it will be tight but they get in there one way or another.

6. Leicester City

Leicester City once again misses out on the top four as they juggle European commitments and injuries. The Foxes have had two dream years in the Premier League and will continue to live at the top heights of football, after making some good additions in the summer window.

However, after losing last years player of the year, Wesley Fofana and now having some defensive woes, alongside the fact they will need to get their new attacking players up to speed, I have them in sixth. They will no doubt surprise us all and be an incredible side to watch, but they don’t make the top four just yet, sixth.

7. Aston Villa

Aston Villa may have lost their talisman Grealish to last year’s Champions, but their work in the transfer window has been exceptional. Bringing in Emi Buendia from Norwich City was a strong move that helps fill the Grealish size whole, as he showed his qualities last time he was in the Premier League.

Getting proven goalscorer Danny Ings through the door was another piece of astute business as it helps to ease the worry of others slowly working their way in, as Ings seems to score wherever he is. Villa have built a strong side, even without Grealish, and will continue to push on this year.

Villa takes seventh after some good business to fix their problems.
