What is England’s best XI for Euro 2020 – Who joins Harry Kane in the lineup?
RB – Kieran Trippier
England have an abundance of right-backs but in the end, the former Spurs man will pip Kyle Walker and be in the starting XI. Trippier had a great season with Atletico Madrid and is pretty good both defensively and offensively.
He also has some fine performances for England as well. Be it a right-back in a back-four or a wing-back in a 3-5-2/3-4-3, Trippier will most likely be the Three Lions’ starter on that flank in the Euros.
CB – John Stones
The 27-year-old had a season of resurgence with Manchester City and was rightfully named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Stones is back in the England setup and will no doubt start at the heart of the defense in the Euros. Apart from being solid at the back, the former Everton man will also be expected to be an aerial threat in set-pieces.
CB – Harry Maguire
There are doubts regarding the Manchester United captain’s fitness after the injury he suffered. However, it seems like Maguire will recover in time for the Euros if we go by Southgate’s most recent statements on him. If fit, there is absolutely no doubt that the 28-year-old will partner Stones at the back.
LB – Luke Shaw
After all his injury struggles, Shaw produced a string of brilliant performances for Manchester United which saw him being named in the PFA Team of the Year.
While there’s Ben Chilwell who also did well with Chelsea, the 25-year-old (soon to be 26) will certainly be England’s starting left-back in the Euros.
