Joachim Low released his Germany squad list for the upcoming Euros tournament, and has gone for several faces from the Premier League, including a couple of Chelsea players that fans will be surprised to see.
Antonio Rudiger, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner from Chelsea all made the squad despite underwhelming seasons from Havertz and Werner.
Low seems to be reiterating his faith in the former Leipzig striker, Werner, who has been an important part of his team for the past year.
Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan retains his place after a stellar season for the Premier League champions and will most likely be a pencilled in starter for Die Mannschaft.
Leeds United CB Robin Kock gets in after making several international appearances throughout this year’s campaign.
Arsenal’s Bernd Leno makes the squad as a backup goalkeeper, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen having surgery on his knee, which ruled him out of the tournament.
Three German players who used to play in the PL, and a former Chelsea academy player also make the cut
