Ahead of the game against Manchester United, Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool talisman gave an update on his contract situation at Anfield. The Egyptian international hasn’t received any offers from the club regarding his new contract as the current deal is set to expire in 2023. This does raise a few questions.

Is Mohamed Salah on his way out of Merseyside in the upcoming transfer window?

Ahead of the crucial game against Manchester United, Mohamed Salah spoke to the media and stated that there is no movement regarding a new contract. He also mentioned that nobody has spoken to the player regarding a contract extension. Mo Salah said:

"No one is talking to me about that, so I can’t say much about that. No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know.(Via: Sky Sports)"

In January 2021, the forward stated his desire to stay with the Anfield-based outfit. The player reiterated his desire to win multiple trophies with the club again. He wants to continue breaking the records with Reds at Anfield. Recently, the player broke the record of attaining 20+ goals for the third time in four seasons at Liverpool. The player also said that he wants to win the Premier League and Champions League again with Merseysiders.

Mohamed Salah had hinted that his future lies away from England and even his former teammate said stuff like that. The Egyptian international joined the English outfit in the summer transfer window 2017/18 season. Jurgen Klopp signed him for a fee of €42 million.

Since his arrival at Anfield, the forward has 93 goals in 140 appearances in English Premier League. Also, he has 40 assists to his name across all competitions for Liverpool.

In February, Jurgen Klopp also spoke about Salah’s new contract. The manager also wants the player to stay with the club. He spoke highly of Salah and his development as a footballer. It remains interesting to see what the club decides to do about Salah’s situation.

What do you think about Salah’s future? Will he remain at Anfield or will be he sold in the summer? Have your say below!
