Arsenal fans went through a series of emotions in a span of one week. It’s been an eventful week. Now, there’s one more piece of news for them. Daniel Ek, the Spotify founder, has expressed his interest in buying Arsenal or to buy some amount of stakes if Kroenke’s are set to sell a few. Gunners’ fans held protests at Emirates last evening prior to the game. Life’s not fun being an Arsenal fan right now.

After the supposedly failed European Super League project, the American owners have come into the spotlight. The fans were enraged regarding the league that was going to destroy the European football structure. Now, because of that, the fans want their owners to liquidate the club. They even held protests at Emirates when Arsenal were against Everton.

Is there a businessman looking to buy Arsenal? Who is he?

Although owner Josh Kroenke is not in any mood to sell the London based outfit,  a potential owner has popped up in the form of Daniel Ek. A lifelong fan of Arsenal and the founder of Spotify, Daniel Ek has expressed his interest to buy the club.

"As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for @Arsenal as long as I can remember. If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I’d be happy to throw my hat in the ring.Via: Daniel Ek’s Twitter handle"

More from Arsenal

According to Forbes, Daniel Ek has a net worth of £3.38 billion who built the empire solely based on the music streaming platform. Since Spotify’s inception in 2006, Daniel Ek has amassed 350 million subscribers on Spotify. Forbes has valued Arsenal at $2.8 billion with an operating cost of $47 million per season.

After the defeat to Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton on Friday, Arsenal are ninth on the points table with 46 points to their name. The side might even miss out on the Europa League spots if they fail to pass the Villareal hurdle on Thursday. Even Mikel Arteta’s managerial career at Emirates is in danger after a dismal season overall. News about Bellerin potentially leaving the next season, and the fact that Odegaard (at least on paper) would return to Madrid are surely not things Arsenal want to hear right now
