Why Tottenham will miss Kane

Tottenham have been branded a one-man team over and over again in the last few years and it’s getting to the point where it’s becoming difficult for them to claim otherwise.

Kane moved above Robbie Fowler in the Premier League goalscoring charts at Goodison by bagging his 20th and 21st goals of the season. He’s also provided 13 assists to his team-mates.

That means Kane’s been directly involved in more than 60% of Tottenham’s league goals this season, which is an astronomical number.

There’s no denying Kane’s an incredible talent and one that any team in world football would miss. However, Spurs have become so dependant on him that it isn’t sustainable.

His struggles with ankle injuries in the past are well documented and when he doesn’t play they look weak going forward and generally lacking in inspiration.

With the Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City fast approaching, all eyes will be on the Spurs camp this week. They’re hardly favourites to win the competition anyway, but without their star man, they don’t stand a chance.
