Harry Kane was withdrawn minutes from the end of an entertaining contest at Goodison Park on Friday night between Everton and Tottenham.

He headed straight down the tunnel, limping on a sore ankle and shaking his head as he hobbled down the sidelines.

A thoroughly watchable tussle between two teams competing for those all-important European games, four goals and some defensive mishaps and yet the talking point after the game was an injury for one player.

Both Everton and Tottenham have star strikers leading their lines and yet the Toffees coped without Dominic Calvert-Lewin and were unlucky not to win the game in the end.

On the other hand, Spurs fans have been sent into meltdown over Kane’s substitution and the potential for him to miss out on the Carabao Cup Final looming next weekend Sunday.
