Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world at the age of 23. He’s a player that teams like Real Madrid, Liverpool etc. have been after for the longest time.

It’s unbelievable how quickly he’s turned from a generational talent to a generational player. I don’t think that’s a stretch.

He’s shown on numerous occasions that he is made for the big stage. I don’t need to remind you all about the kind of player he is.

Anyway, El Chiringuito recently reported that Real Madrid are the clear favourites to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2021.

A major blow for Liverpool in their Mbappe pursuit

More from Liverpool FC

This is a major blow for Liverpool because they have looked to be interested in signing the Frenchman a number of times before this summer.

There have been many reports about him being a player that Jurgen Klopp really wants to see at Liverpool. He’s always been a fan of the guy and honestly, I don’t blame him.

Real Madrid have always been the first name whenever the topic of Kylian Mbappe’s next club comes up, and it seems like they are leading the race for him now as well.

We can’t say how accurate this report is, but El Chiringuito is believed to be a reliable source more often than not.

Real Madrid and Spain makes more sense than Liverpool and England

Honestly, Kylian Mbappe going off to Spain makes a little more sense than him going to Liverpool just because I feel Real Madrid need him a little bit more.

Obviously, he’s one heck of a player that could improve both teams drastically. But, Real Madrid have been searching for a superstar forward ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club.

They’ve been struggling to find the back of the net ever since the start of the 2018-19 season, and although the massive leap that Benzema took was crucial, it still doesn’t seem enough.

Their second top scorer is still in the single digits, and that’s not enough. Liverpool, although they’ve struggled this season, still have top class scorers in their team. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota all are great goalscorers.

As I said, Mbappe would still drastically improve the team, but I think he improves Real Madrid a little bit more. Besides, it’s Kylian Mbappe’s dream to play for the club.

The Galacticos were his childhood heroes, and it would make sense on an emotional level to finally make the move to the Bernabéu.

Liverpool plays their competition for Mbappe’s signature on Wednesday, in the second leg of their Champions League tie. Real Madrid currently leads 3-1.
