Chelsea and FC Porto’s Champions League Quarter-Finals have been moved from their respected home venues and will be played in Seville, Spain.

The return to club football is just a few days away and the comeback for Champions League football is a week out of reach – with Chelsea and Porto’s matchup scheduled for Wednesday, April 07.

The first leg was supposed to be played at the Estádio do Dragão and then a trip to Stamford Bridge for the second leg. But with little improvements, safety precautions will be taken into account.

The first lot of games in the round of 16 succumbed to the same fate due to the travel bans across Europe in certain countries. The duo will meet outside their respective home venues and battle it out in Spain at Sevilla’s home ground, the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Furthermore, no other games were relocated and will go ahead in their respective venues as planned. But things could change very late if any other altercations come up between then and now.

Chelsea favourites or FC Porto?

Both teams were quite impressive in their round of 16 victories, it must be said. Porto never gave Juventus a chance while the Blues were ugly with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid, allowing them nothing as well.

The latter took out one of the most in-form La Liga teams this season while the former denied Rolando and co a shot at Champions League glory.

This one cannot be called off the bat with both competitors looking good for gold this campaign – and this only taking their form of late into consideration. However, if a prediction must be made then the forecasted winner for this one would be Chelsea.

Porto has failed miserably in their last few attempts against English clubs – mostly coming up against the then ruthless Liverpool.

Chelsea is yet to lose under their new manager Thomas Tuchel and it is highly unlikely that they will start losing a grip of things now. So our money at The Top Flight is on Chelsea and them going through to the next round of the Champions League.
