The Premier League relegation battle has taken another turn late on in the season as we see out Matchday 26.
As the current Premier League season progresses, a relegation battle is starting to take shape. At one point it looked like the bottom 3 had already been set in stone. But as of late, a few teams are showing they aren’t ready to leave the Premier League quite yet.
At the same time, there are a few teams that were once thought to be safe that are now struggling. All of this could lead to a very entertaining relegation battle over the coming weeks.

For starters, there are the obvious 3 teams currently in the relegation zone. Those teams are Sheffield United, West Brom, and Fulham.
Then there are the teams that sit just above the relegation zone. Newcastle, Brighton, Burnley, and Southampton are safe for now, but still close enough to be demoted where they will not be feeling comfortable.
All 7 of these teams will find themselves right in the middle of the relegation battle.
What teams will survive and stay up in the Premier League?
The team that is in the worst spot at the moment is Sheffield United. Although they have been playing a bit better as of late, they are at the bottom of the table and most likely will not be able to dig themselves out.
The other two teams in the fight for survival are West Brom and Fulham. Out of those two Fulham looks most likely to climb their way out.
As of late, they have been on a very good run of form with 2 wins and 3 draws in their last 6 matches. If they can continue in this vein they have a very good chance of moving up the table.
On the other hand, there are the teams that are considered safe for now. Newcastle and Brighton are both 3 points ahead of Fulham at the moment.
That does not leave them with much room for error. Both teams are in decent form, but they will definitely be starting to feel the pressure sooner rather than later.
It is also worth mentioning that the team in the worst form recently is Southampton. Now they sit 7 points clear of Fulham in 14th place, but if they continue to play poorly they could also become a factor in the relegation battle.
All of this leads to what is sure to be an exciting end to the season.
