According to reports surrounding Hakim Ziyech, the player wants out of Stamford Bridge. He is keen to meet Chelsea’s director Marina Granovskaia and hand in a transfer request.

Just when Chelsea hits a purple patch under new manager, Thomas Tuchel, rumors have started to gather regarding last summer’s arrival, Hakim Ziyech, and a possible exit.

The Moroccan international has failed to get a great momentum going in the 2020/21 season. The injury and fitness issues have hindered his progress in the English Premier League.

The player has just 1064 minutes under his belt in 19 games across all competitions. In 11 Premier League games, the player has just one goal and three assists to his name.

More from Transfers and Rumors

Chelsea signed Hakim Ziyech from Eredivisie outfit, Ajax, in the summer transfer window in a deal worth €40 million. The winger missed the opening of the league owing to injury and is yet to show his worth of €40 at Stamford Bridge.

The sacking of Frank Lampard has come at the wrong time for the 27-year-old player. Since Thomas Tuchel has taken the reigns from the Blues legend, the player has remained an unused substitute in the last two top-flight games.

Hakim Ziyech started against Wolverhampton Wanderers where he played 81 minutes but failed to leave an impact on the match. The game ended in a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.

In a recent press conference, the former PSG manager demanded Hakim Ziyech adapt to the Premier League.

He said the Premier League is more intense compared to that of the Eredivisie and he expects Ziyech to still adapt, despite finding it hard in his early days at the club.

The manager opined:

"For me, it’s clear he needs to adapt to this kind of football, this kind of league. He’s come from a strong Ajax squad but they were the benchmark in the league. And it’s not the same intensity and it’s not the same competition as it is here. But he’s adapting, and he has the certain quality to decide matches and the certain quality to do the unexpected, which can give us an extra twist in any game and on any level.(Via: Express)"

Tuchel started ZIyech in the FA Cup against Championship outfit, Barnsley, but the player failed to impress there too. In 68 minutes, the player lost possession 25 times and put as few as four crosses into the penalty area.

Against a weak side, the player neither scored nor assisted for Chelsea. The teen sensation, Tino Anjorin replaced the right-winger in the fixture against Barnsley.

Is it going from bad to worse for the winger?

Things are going from bad to worse for Ziyech in his Blues career. Reports suggest that the 27-year-old wants to leave Chelsea as he feels that he is not a part of the new manager’s plans.

Serie A outfits, AC Milan and Juventus, are monitoring the player’s situation and are being linked with a move for the player.

Chelsea will go up against Newcastle on Monday at Stamford Bridge in a late kick-off. A win against them will help Thomas Tuchel’s side re-enter the top-four.
