Thomas Tuchel records his first Premier League win with Chelsea
Chelsea beat Burnley at Stamford Bridge 2-0 handing the man in charge, Thomas Tuchel, his first Premier League three points.
The scoreline might have read 2-0 but the Blues totally outplayed the visitors, giving them no hope of stealing a point.
The Clarets’ recorded their first shot of the game in the 94th minute – giving even more evidence to how dominant the force in blue was on the day.
Many changes in Chelsea’s gameplay and some in personnel
It is only normal for a new manager to experiment with his entire squad but to see Marcos Alonso get handed a rare start was something nobody expected.

The Spanish fullback was included in the first XI for the first time since their Matchday 3 draw to West Brom last year.
This was only his fourth start of the season, missing every match, league and cup game, until the Burnley victory on Sunday.
Thankfully, his return to the starting lineup was greeted with a clean sheet and a valiant defensive display – not just by him but by the undivided Chelsea team.
Not only did they stop all of Burnley’s attacks but also owned all the possession (72% ball possession) and registered a high total of18 shots at goal.
If there was anything to fault, it is them having to be more clinical in front of goal and turn most of their shots into goals – something that looks like it will start happening soon with a bit more time under Tuchel’s guidance.
Adding to the one-sided showing, there were many individual class acts all around the pitch. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount and Cesar Azpilicueta were some of those having an outstanding game in the victory.
No Chelsea loss is a great start for the German
It is still early days but two games in and not one game lost is a great start for any manager in this cut-throat league. We must also not forget before his first Premier League game in charge, he had only one night of training before kickoff.
Four points from the six available and a move up one place in the standings from eighth to seventh is almost the perfect way to kickstart your Chelsea career. They sit equal on points with both Spurs and Everton who sit on either side of them on the PL table.
The Blues go up against Tottenham next, which will be Thomas Tuchel’s toughest EPL clash yet. Following the London derby, is meetings from top-flight struggles, Sheffield United and Newcastle United.
