Most soccer fans fell in love with the amazing season Leicester City had in 2015-2016. The squad managed by Claudio Ranieri did the impossible and many fans did not expect to see the Foxes as the Premier League Champions.
In that season we saw many breakout stars like Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’golo Kante. This perfect season brought in many opportunities for these players and let them be known to the soccer public.
Since their breakout season, the Foxes has struggled to break into the top 5 of the table standings. Last season they finally reach 5th place on the table and the fans started seeing improvement from the Foxes.
This season they have improved even more, and many of us are starting to get excited to see that Leicester from 2015-2016 return to be winners of this season’s Premier League. The Foxes are placed 3rd and if they keep their good level they can do important things in the English top flight this year.
Can we see Leicester City as the winner of the Premier League 2020-2021? That is the question that the soccer world is asking.

The Foxes have the potential to accomplish it and they are led by two of the best EPL players so far this season, Jamie Vardy and James Maddison. Both bring many positive attributes to the team and with the rest of the squad, they have been one of the most consistent teams in the EPL.
The foxes played a great game, winning 2-0, against Chelsea on Wednesday to secure the third spot on the table. The Foxes are four points above Liverpool that lost on Thursday night against Burnley, breaking their streak of 68 games unbeaten at Anfield.
The Foxes are just two points away from Manchester United who are at the summit of the table. If Leicester keeps playing this way it is just a matter of time for them to get that first seed. Their next five will prove just how far they’ve come compared to last season.
Leicester City’s next five Premier League matches

Leicester City vs. Leeds
Fulham vs. Leicester City
Wolves vs. Leicester City
Leicester City vs. Liverpool
Started like a house on fire when the 2019/20 campaign kicked-off but slowly lost form over the course of it.
Following the restart in the pandemic-struck campaign, Leicester struggled to find that same form, proving the home stretch is when it all falls apart for them. Two of the next five are games where they play teams who are directly fighting for the same spots as Rodgers and his men.
The Merseyside duo, Wolves and Leeds United included, will be really tough tests for Leicester but win these games and we could very well see them as the champions of England come to the end of season.
