Is Lampard’s job safe at Chelsea and if not, who would potentially replace him at the Bridge?

Lampard is far from safe and is unfortunately employed at a club that requires positive results, consistently. Being his second full season in charge, his time could be coming to an abrupt end sooner rather than later.

Having only won eight and lost six of his 19 English top-flight games in charge, the cut-throat Roman Abramovich could pull the trigger on Lampard soon – probably when they find an agreement/pre-agreement with a possible replacement.

The top manager targets being named to replace Frank Lampard are;

  1. Massimiliano Allegri
  2. Thomas Tuchel
  3. Julian Nagelsmann
  4. Brendan Rodgers

All but two of these abovementioned managers are free to join with immediate effect. Rumour has it, both Massimiliano Allegri and Thomas Tuchel would jump at the chance to manager at Stamford Bridge.

Both Julian Nagelsmann and Brendan Rodgers are enjoying great moments in their respective posts. An eighth-placed Chelsea might not be attractive enough for them to jump ship but every manager and player has their price.

The billionaire boss can be very persuasive and reaches deep in his pockets to get what he wants. The Russian is definitely considering his options heading into the second half of the season.

This adds even more pressure on Lampard knowing these class acts are waiting in the background and that Abramovich is weighing up his options. Staring down the barrel of a gun has never had more meaning.

The question stands… Does Frank Lampard deserve more time with the Champions League coming up shortly? Or is it time concede he is just too inexperienced for Chelsea job?
