FA Cup 4th Round draw: Liverpool travels to Manchester for an old school rivalry
Manchester United and Liverpool will meet in the fourth round of the FA Cup following the draw completed on Monday night.
West Ham was the last of the Premier League clubs to play their FA Cup fixture and also the final team to join the rest in round 4 of the old English cup.
The Hammers progressed thanks to a 1-0 win over Stockport. Of the FA Cup clashes set to take place over the weekend of January 23rd, Manchester United vs. Liverpool is the one people can’t wait to watch.
What more could you ask for in a season filled with utter madness from the moment United got awarded a penalty by match official Chris Kavanagh after the final whistle was blown when they beat Brighton in the opening days.
To make an already entertaining campaign even more fun to watch, schedule back-to-back Liverpool-United meetings. This could possibly be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s most important week out of his whole entire managerial career.
A chance to top the EPL table in a league match against Burnley on Tuesday. Then they a trip to Anfield where their challenge their oldest foes in a direct first vs. second.

If that wasn’t enough then a retake, this time in domestic cup action and we change venues from Anfield to Old Trafford where England’s most successful duo will meet for a second consecutive time. Going to be an interesting two weeks for Man United and Ole.
Besides the United-Pool game, Fulham and Burnley meet at Craven Cottage for a top-flight showdown. There is one other third-round tie that’s waiting for a result and that is Southampton vs. Shrewsbury Town – which could be the third and only fixture where EPL clubs meet for the round.
The winner between the two, which many predict will be the Saints, will face Arsenal in the next round. The rest of the draw for the fourth round of action is quite favourable for all Premier League clubs.
