N’Golo Kante could still make his move out of Stamford Bridge with PSG the new team in the conversation.

Before the summer window shutdown and Chelsea were so busy bringing in their priority targets, it was almost certainly N’Golo Kante was going to leave the club. The player was rumoured to be a top target for his old boss Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.

Following the rumours, the 2018 World Cup winner was said to be transfer listed by Frank Lampard. The Blues had a plethora of big names incoming and needed to let players go in the other direction in order to raise some funds to append one or two more new names to the roster.

More from Chelsea

Lampard and the London club were eager to bring in English talent Declan Rice and were willing to sacrifice Kante in order to prize him away from West Ham. Unfortunately, David Moyes over at the Hammers was reluctant to sell their best player, who he had just named club captain at the time.

The summer progressed steadily but to no surprise, none of N’Golo or Declan made any switch as stayed put at their respective clubs. But since then, the speculations of them making a switch has still not died.

During the summer, Chelsea slapped an £80m price tag on the Frenchman! They will probably still be looking close to that amount with the player putting a string of good performances this season for club and country.

His best this term coming for his country in their 1-0 victory over Portugal. A Man of the Match performance and the winning goal proved Kante is still worth every penny.

PSG told to “break the bank” for N’Golo Kante

With Chelsea still rumoured to move for Rice in the January transfer window, we could see Kante in Paris in a couple of months from now. Moyes made it clear, they’d only listen to offers @ £80m and up. If the Blues are to cave into the Hammers asking price, they will certainly be wanting no less than £80m either.

"Chelsea are believed to be eager to sign West Ham star Declan Rice this January, and could have the perfect way of raising the funds to do so. Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Eric Rabesandratana believes the French champions should “break the bank” for N’Golo Kante."

As per the Express, Eric Rabesandratana believes the Ligue 1 kings will only come close to a Champions League gold medal if they sign the French midfield star. Winning the French top flight cannot be the priority after coming as far as the finals last season — their best run in a UCL era.

Sadly they took on the most in-form team in Europe, Bayern Munich, they were and still appear to be a level above the rest of Europe. They lost that final 1-0.

Eric Rabesandratana on N’Golo after Portugal win:

"I would like to say that if I were a leader at PSG I would break the bank to sign N’Golo Kante. Kante is the player who would allow PSG to win the Champions League. We do not need [Lionel] Messi or anyone else. (The express.co.uk)"

It will be an ill feeling to see one of the best midfielders in the game today leave the Premier League. However, everything is pointing towards a Stamford Bridge exit and Rice welcome party at the Bridge.

N’Golo Kante has made 12 appearances this season, starting 10 of the 12 his played. His only goal for the season has come while on international duty, with having a single assist in the Premier League in their 4-1 win over Sheffield United.

Should Chelsea sell or keep Kante until next year summer?
