Fabinho, who has made himself a key player in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, has stated recently that he wants to commit his long-term future to the Champions of England.
Fabrizio Romano stated on his “Here We Go” podcast: “Fabinho is convinced that his future is at Liverpool and next year they were going to start to talk four or five-year contract with Liverpool.
Despite Fabinho currently being injured and unavailable for this weekend’s titanic clash with Manchester City, this is welcomed news to all Liverpool supporters. Not only has Fabinho proven himself to be one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe, but he is also a very decent center back in a pinch situation. His versatility and reading of the game make him an invaluable member of Klopp’s Reds.
Liverpool fans will also be delighted to learn that players like Fabinho and Thiago, who had offers to play for some of the richest and biggest clubs in Europe over the summer, decided that Anfield is where they want to be. This speaks volumes not only of Liverpool’s recruitment policy, which has been impeccable in recent years but also of the direction of the club under the 53-year-old manager Jurgen Klopp.

With the Merseysiders set to move into brand new, state-of-the-art training facilities during the international break, the Reds are equipped to push for silverware and titles long after Klopp has decided to step down.
No Liverpool fan wants to see that day anytime soon, but these things happen eventually and supporters will want to know that the club can continue at the pinnacle of the English Premier League and the Champions League for the foreseeable future.
The news that Fabinho, a player entering the prime of his career, sees himself spending his best years in Red is an indication of that exact progress at the club.
Furthermore, Liverpool continues to be linked with the likes of Bayern Munich’s David Alaba, and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, the brightest young talent in all of world football.
These types of rumors persist, indicating that they likely have some truth to them, and Mbappe has even been open about his admiration for Klopp’s side. Nobody would have believed rumors like those prior to Klopp’s arrival.
The best players wanting to play for the Merseysiders is perhaps the best evidence that the state of Liverpool Football Club has never been better.
