Over to you now Tottenham Hotspur and Jose Mourinho. Many points dropped and many spots up for grabs.
Two more Premier League encounters left to play in Matchday 6 and one of these encounters has a team in search of a top-four spot or even the title, depending on how the league shapes up. Tottenham travels to Turf Moor and challenges an out-of-form Burnley side for an important three points.
It was one of those weekends in the English Premier League where you watch all your rivals drop points, think your team is playing a winnable fixture and can take advantage of it, and then BOOM! Your beloved club drops points as well and then misses the chance to move up the ladder in the standings or open up the gap on their closest rivals.
Much is the case for Jose Mourinho, who could still take full advantage of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, and both Manchester clubs dropping points over the weekend. If they fail to capitalise on this, then Matchday 6 has been completed full circle, with only the champions Liverpool profiting from the dropped-points weekend.
However, if they do manage to win a broken Burnley, they will projectile themselves from 11th place straight into 5th place behind Leicester City. And guess what, he has all the tools to do it with ease.
A 100% Spurs

The Portuguese can nicely brag about his fully fit squad, with all his attacking ready to get the nod. The only question marks coming out of North London, why has Mourinho left Dele Alli out of his team that travelled to Turf Moor?
Tottenham also enjoys taking all the points against the Clarets. Sean Dyche’s men have only won two of their last 12 meetings. But Dyche old boy will be hoping for a repeat of last season or to go one better.
A point shared was all they could manage, but also at the time the London club was getting ready to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino.
The most exciting bit about this evening’s encounter
We could finally see Gareth Bale start his first Premier League game after his return to Spurs. Adding to the Bale excitement, we get to see what damage a front three of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, and Gareth Bale can do together.
Without the Welshman, their Korean hitman and English sharpshooter have already broken some teams’ spirits, Man United being schooled the most. Spurs have already scored 15 goals over five games played.
That’s mostly thanks to the two men upfront. They are in competition with themselves and appear to be on the same wavelength. Hopefully, Bale will reach the Harry Son’s frequency and join in on their private battle.
Can Burnley get off the mark?
Burnley needs hope from Nick Pope. He will be needed to stop the leakage of goals this early on in the season. One of the best defensive sides last season, are still in search of their first victory.
One point has them in the drop zone sadly, but it is not to say they have been the worst of the lot. Their attack has always been questionable and comes in second best against most opposition, so they will need upliftment in both departments, front to back.
