The Top Flight

We had 3 people who broke the 100-point mark in the first week! A very impressive feat!

All 3 played a chip, 2 of them gave Salah the Triple Captain chip, one decided to play the Bench Boost with some poor returns (Schmeichel, Aurier, Dunk and Haller for 8 points combined).

Topping the table is George Osei of Ghana with 105, despite only having 10 players (Pulisic didn’t play and neither did any of his bench players) and 6-point Patricio on the bench!

He managed this through Salah’s haul, Saiss’ goal and a clean sheet and Gabriel doing the same. 90 points off 3 players and 15 from 7 others… Impressive start but surely one that will be difficult to maintain with triple West Ham.

The New Experiment

In my final preseason post, I detailed my latest experiment.

Two teams, one built from a plethora of mid-priced talent, allowing me to spread the wealth. The other made up with as many stars as I can get plus some fillers.

It started out with honours even at 54 vs 53, a slight edge for the mid-priced team. I’ve since sold Havertz after his disastrous debut, instead opted for Rodriguez (see below) and on the superstar team, I’ve taken a hit to lose Mane and Austin (didn’t play so good!) for Sterling and Bamford.

If you read my Steer Clear section this could be surprising, but I need someone cheap!
