Top Picks

Mohamed Salah (MID, 12.0m, Chelsea away)

I know picking a player in a top 6 showdown can lead to disaster. However, last season this fixture finished 2-1 to Liverpool and at Anfield, it was 5-3!

Salah has started the season with a bang and cannot be ignored. Some people are arguing it was luck because of the 2 penalties. I say a) picking Salah over Mane because he takes penalties is just good sense and b) 21 shots in the box! In one game!

Chelsea conceded 7 shots in the box to Brighton. And Kepa is still in goal. Enough said, don’t sell the FPL king!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (MID, 12.0m, West Ham at home)

Aubameyang started brightly as well, not as brightly as Salah but still with a solid 7-point return. He also had a shot blocked off the line and some decent stats to back up his potential (3 shots in the box, I know it’s not Salah but it’s not bad).

The big draw for Auba this week is the opposition. West Ham are in crisis. There was civil war breaking out before the season and their performance against Newcastle was lacklustre. Aubameyang could have a field day against the Hammers and you don’t want to miss out.
