Liverpool’s financial status has kept them away from the summer transfer window, signing only a single player.
The Reds are looking to cash in on some players before they do any further business in the market. A player falling victim to the summer planning is youngster Rhian Brewster. The promising forward is said to be on his way to Sheffield United, who have agreed to sign the player for £25m.
Initially, Jurgen Klopp was happy to listen to offers, but only if they were loan options. But since finding no joy with player sales, the club needs to consider more suitable deals to help them in this current market, labelled difficult due to the power of the pandemic.
The club then changed the option of a loan only for Brewster, to naming a price of £20m-plus for the striker. The deal, if it goes through, will happen with a bay-back first option for Liverpool, who are still split/two-minded in their decision about letting him leave permanently.

Besides recent news pointing in the direction of a Blades’ move, there have been several other clubs interested in signing the 20-year-old. Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Swansea City are still being pegged for a final destination.

Nothing new on new Anfield arrivals
As things stand, the Reds are still being heavily linked with a move for Klopp’s main summer target, Bayern Munich’s midfielder Thiago Alcântara. No difference in the treble winner’s stance, as he and the Anfield club is said to have agreed on personal terms a while back already.
The price of €30m is still considered an unreasonable sum for them, with Thiago in the final year of his contract. Sources believe the English champions will wait closer to the end of the transfer window before making their official bid (although it was reported by The Top Flight a first official bid was made a week back).
Another and only other infielder being linked with a Merseyside switch is Ismaila Sarr from Watford. He is the player that Liverpool will go in for if the Brewster deal becomes a reality.
Rhian Brewster spent the second half of last season on loan to Swansea City where he became an instant hit. He couldn’t help them to promotion but had a solid run leading the Swans’ line.
He scored 10 goals in 20 appearances for them in the Championship. Afore this it was a really tough time for the forward, suffering a major injury setback, which kept him sidelined and limited to single figure features.
